This year, all cadets wanting to apply for the Glider Pilot Training Course (GPTC) or Power Pilot Training Course (PPTC) MUST complete the National Online Ground School program starting in October.
All cadets from across Canada will be taking this 45 hour, on-line, self-paced course to prepare them for the Entrance Exams in January.
Only cadets that are eligible for the GPTC or PPTC will be allowed to register. Here are some of the requirements:
GPTC – 16 years old by 1 Sep 2022; finished Level 3 by 30 Jun 2022; completed Grade 9 by 30 Jun 2022; hold a valid Transport Canada Category 3 aviation medical; height between 152.4 and 190.5 cm; weight between 40.82 and 90.72 kg
PPTC – 17 years old by 1 Sep 2022; finished Level 4 by 30 Jun 2022; completed Grade 10 by 30 Jun 2022; hold a valid Transport Canada Category 3 aviation medical; weight not more than 111.13 kg
