Closing Parade Announcements

Parade Subject Details
Tue+Wed Scholarship Courses All scholarship applicants must submit all paperwork by next week to your respective training officers. This includes:

  • Physical copy of your resume and cover letter (cover letter must have signature)
  • School Transcript
  • Height and Weight Form (Glider and Power only)
    • CATO 54-26 Annex B for Glider
    • CATO 54-27 Annex B for Power
  • Transport Canada Medical Certificate or confirmation for medical examination date (Glider and Power only)
Tue+Wed Glider and Power Exams
  • Date: 9 Jan 16; arrive NLT 0900 hrs; exams starts 0930 hrs
  • Location: WS Hopper Bldg, New West (513 RCACS LHQ)
  • Bring No. 2 pencil and eraser
  • Power Candidates need to also bring an E6B or Jeppesen Flight Computer

Tue+Wed Band Clinic (North Van)
  • Date: 23 Jan 16 OR 24 Jan 16
  • Location: 1513 Forbes Ave, North Van (103 RCACS LHQ)
  • Cadets should review theory and practice scales/music pieces prior to attending the clinic
  • Cadets are highly encouraged to carpool as transportation is not provided
Tue+Wed High School Work Experience Program
  • The Air Cadet League in partnership with the Aerospace Industry is offering a High School Work Experience Program to cadets 15 years and older in grade 11, or 12 that will provide them the opportunity to gain 40 hours of voluntary work experience in either an aerospace technical maintenance facility or airport operations environment.  This work experience will also fulfill the 30 hours work experience and community service requirement for graduation.
  • Work Experience opportunities will be offered in January, February, March, and April 2016

The seniors of Tuesday night are conducting a bottle drive to help support the Satellite Flight. At the moment cadets are distributing the flyer seen below. A door to door pick up in the Maillard Middle School area will be conducted on Saturday Jan 14. Contributions directly to Return It are also welcomed and outlined in the second flyer.
