Tue+Wed Scholarship Courses
  • We are still waiting for GPS and PPS exam marks to be returned to us. You will be contacted via email with your score as soon as we receive them.
  • Last scheduled mock review boards are for Jan 29. Please check your email for the schedule, and send Lt Chiang and email if you need to cancel or sign up still.
Tue+Wed Biathlon Congratulations to all that participated in the biathlon competition this past weekend. Medals and pins were brought back to the squadron and we are very proud of all that represented us!
Tue+Wed Effective Speaking
  • Effective Speaking (ES) starts this Thursday, Jan. 21 and runs until Feb. 18 with the squadron competition being held on Feb. 25 at Moody Elementary Library.
  • There are two classes this year, one at Maillard Middle and one at Moody Elementary, to accommodate all cadets who signed up.  See website calendar for further details.
  • NOTE:  There will be no ES class at Maillard Middle only on Jan. 28.   The Moody Middle class will still run on Jan. 28.
  • Class lists and information were emailed to all cadets who signed up for ES.

Tues+Wed Post-Secondary Scholarships
  1. 754 Phoenix SSC will again be awarding four $500 post-secondary scholarships to 754 Phoenix cadet who are presently in grade 12,  graduating June 2016, and continuing their education at a post-secondary institution.  Submit your application to a sponsoring committee member or LHQ or satellite flight office by April 6, 2016.
  2. The Air Cadet League of Canada is offering three post-secondary scholarships.  Deadline for application is April 1, 2016.  Go to the ACLC website for more information and an application form.
Tue+Wed Squadron Fun Day
  • Full day activity for Saturday Feb 13. All admission, lunch, and transport is covered.
  • Science world (Animal inside out exhibit) and Rock Climbing

Tue+Wed Band Clinic (North Van)
  • Date: 23 Jan 16
  • Location: 1513 Forbes Ave, North Van (103 RCACS LHQ)
  • Cadets should review theory and practice scales/music pieces prior to attending the clinic
  • Cadets are highly encouraged to carpool as transportation is not provided

  • Selected cadets will be performing around BC 18 – 26 Mar 16
  • Cadets who are interested in applying for Honour Band must complete this sign-up before 25 Jan 16

Tue+Wed 75th Anniversary Poster
  • [important]Order deadline has been extended to Wednesday, February 17[/important]
  • In honour of their 75th Anniversary, the Air Cadet League of Canada has created posters featuring the squadron crests of all the air cadet squadrons in Canada.
  • One unique poster has been made for each province.  You may view them at http://aircadetleague.com/about-us/75th-anniversary/75th-provincial-posters-order/
  • The posters are being offered at the very reasonable price of $2.00 each.
  • To order please complete order form and hand in, with payment, to the Moody squadron office or Maillard Satellite Flight office or to a SSC director.
Tue+Wed High School Work Experience Program
  • The Air Cadet League in partnership with the Aerospace Industry is offering a High School Work Experience Program to cadets 15 years and older in grade 11, or 12 that will provide them the opportunity to gain 40 hours of voluntary work experience in either an aerospace technical maintenance facility or airport operations environment.  This work experience will also fulfill the 30 hours work experience and community service requirement for graduation.
  • Work Experience opportunities will be offered in January, February, March, and April 2016
